PARIS PARIS PARIS FASHION WEEK FALL 2011: MUGLER

The dream team behind Mugler has been teasing us for the past week with a video of an alien with random proportions, and sub-dermal bumps. And most importantly a guest appearance by Lady Gaga to debut her new single on the runway. This collection was well worth the wait, the runway full of archways of columns, had models zig-zagging through this visual appealing runway. Each piece left little to the imagination with its sheer cut-outs, and some models were wearing sheer tops with their nipples exposed. More brights showed up on the runway, cobalt blue seems to be a big color this fall with a pause from the black pieces in Mugler's collection we had nudes, blues and even some tans. Sheer and posable plastics were used in cropped coats and boleros matched with black, thick furry separates in this beautiful collection for fall. This collection looked like it was made for superheros, each piece tight and fitted and the hair and makeup looked like something straight out of a comic. Perfect that Gaga closed the show in a stunning white flowey draped dress, with skyscraper heels at least 8"+, she embodied a comic book star...perhaps not the hero but the sultry and sexy Lady Villain.

**BEST** COLLECTION SHOWN AT MILAN FASHION WEEK FALL 2011: GUCCI

Gucci shows the most diverse and interesting show in Milan this season. This collection was full of life, each look was elegantly styled and very chic. Business wear matched with bright colored fur blazers, flowey summer dresses in neon colors, and floral bouquets on evening gowns were absolutely stunning to see on the runway. Every look was fabulous in its own right, an array of separates and colors throughout the presentation made this superstar fashion house, GUCCI reign again back on top.

MILAN FASHIONWEEK FALL 2011: VERSUS by VERSACE

Donatella's presentation of her diffusion line, Versus by Versace, was a hit yesterday in Milan. Dark colors and midnight-purple geometrical prints were showcased on casual and sassy cocktail attire. Waist cut-outs on dresses, resemble 18th century corsetry, and cinches these pieces that change the look of the garments almost turning them into separates. Versus is all about showing and accentuating the best parts of a woman's figure and this collection is nothing less than sexy.

MILAN FASHION WEEK FALL 2011: MOSCHINO & PRADA

Although my favorite shows and designers come out of Paris, I only look forward to a couple of Italian designers every season, and MOSCHINO has always been on the top of my list. This fall collection shows what exactly makes Moschino different and fun from other Italian fashion houses. Black and white mix-ups, and boyfriend inspired looks were on various looks throughout the collection. Military and utilitarian inspired, but very Italian, these girls were tough looking but very preppy and fun. I love this presentation for fall and cannot wait to hear more positive acclaim for this cohesive and beautiful show.

Cult-favorite and legendary fashion house, Prada had the most talked about fall presentation this past week. Miuccia Prada gave us everything this season, it was a buffet of crazy looks and separates, but most importantly absolutely gorgeous. The collection started subtle with solids then moved into colorful combination of plaids all matched with boots that resembled socks in a mary-janes. Opaque blouses and skirts in cream and charcoal were understated but a breath of fresh air throughout this journey of a collection. My favorite pieces were those cocktail numbers at the end that looked like colored fish-scales. The way those mermaid-inspired dresses moved on the runway were breathtaking, and very editorial. I can't wait to see my favorite starlets gracing the cover of i-D magazine in what we will be calling 'the fish scale dress'. Some fashion collections trigger a memory of the past, and some like this one, evoke an emotion that is truly astounding.
